CAMP DESCRIPTIONS:
Studio A: Ages 5-7 (Georgetown Campus)
Studio B: Ages 8-10 (Georgetown Campus)
Studio C: Ages 11-13 (Downtown Campus)
Studio D: Ages 14-16 (Downtown Campus)
Studios A, B, C, and D (Ages 5-16)
Camp Creativity is divided into four age groups. Studio A (ages 5-7) and Studio B (ages 8-10) meet at the Georgetown campus, while Studio C (ages 11-13) and Studio D (ages 14-16) meet at our downtown campus. Student may sign up for only one week or as many as eight weeks.
The schedule for each Camp Creativity age group (or “Studio”) includes a variety of age-appropriate thematic classes. Inspired by the work of artists from different time periods and around the world, your child will find new avenues of self-expression and gain an understanding of his or her creative potential. Morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions are available and a link to camp descriptions follows. Full-day campers will attend a supervised lunch and outdoor activity from 12-1pm before attending their afternoon session that begins at 1pm.
Corcoran members at the Family member and above receive advance registration for Camp Creativity as well as a waiver of the $35 per camper registration fee.
STUDIO A (AGES 5-7) and STUDIO B (AGES 8-10)
GEORGETOWN CAMPUS
Camp Creativity Studios A and B (ages 5-10) take place at the Corcoran’s Georgetown campus, 1801 Thirty-Fifth Street NW (at S Street) [map], which offers fully-equipped classrooms, an adjacent outdoor play area, and convenient access by car. Morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions are available with pre- and post-camp activity options. Full-day campers have a supervised lunch period (lunch is not provided).
STUDIO C (AGES 11-13) and STUDIO D (AGES 14-16)
DOWNTOWN CAMPUS
Camp Creativity’s Studios C for ages 11-13 and Studio D for ages 14–16 meet at the Corcoran’s Downtown Campus, 500 Seventeenth Street NW (at New York Avenue) [map], providing students with access to the studios and labs used by BFA students during the regular academic year. In addition, many sessions include study and sketching of works in the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s permanent collection and special exhibitions. Morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions are available. Lunch is not provided. Pre- and Post-camp activity options are not available for Studio C and Studio D campers.
