Though new to collecting, Lorie Peters-Lauthier has amassed an international contemporary art collection of impressive size and scope. The collection features emerging and established artists from over 20 countries, which spans most forms of media. Integrated throughout her home, you will find pieces by renowned artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Howard Hodgkin, Tony Cragg, Christopher Wool, William Kentridge, Roni Horn, Jenny Holzer, Mike Kelley, Wim Delvoye, Anthony Caro, Jorge Pardo, Horoshi Sugimoto, and Charles Sandison. The common theme of communication is felt throughout, inspired by her special needs son who is unable to speak. Many of the works are one of a kind, representative of the artists’ inner dialogues and not necessarily what they are known for on the outside.
Registration for this event is required and space is limited for your enjoyment. The confirmation email from the Corcoran, to be sent the day before the event, will include the exact event address, but the home is not accessible by public transportation.
A limited number of tickets are still available. Please call Diana Kaw at (202) 639-1749 if you would like to register.
