Performance and panel discussion

From August 8 to September 2, the Corcoran’s Gallery 31 presents Manifest: Armed, featuring four artists whose work deals with issues surrounding American gun culture. The exhibition features work by Sarah Frost, Julian Oliver, and the collaborative SmithBeatty (artists Colin Beatty and Craig Smith).

On Thursday, August 30,at 6 p.m. in Gallery 31, the collaborative SmithBeatty (artists Colin Beatty and Craig Smith) will perform FireSale ©TM, in which a gun is reassembled from original pieces and 3D-printed replica parts.

At 7:30 p.m., Smith, Beatty, and Frost will discuss common themes among their work in a panel discussion.

Admission to the exhibition, performance, and panel is free and open to the public.

Gallery 31 is the Corcoran College of Art + Design’s free exhibition space, located at the corner of Seventeenth Street and New York Avenue, NW.
